Between Worlds
Global lessons, local moments, and the art of weaving them together
Welcome to My Canvas:
For years, my work has lived at the intersections between policy and practice, classrooms and boardrooms, tradition and innovation. I’ve worked in government, higher education, and the nonprofit sector, and along the way I’ve carried stories of students, leaders, communities, and change-makers—what I like to call Cultural Disrupters.
But just as much, I’ve carried the everyday fragments of life; notes from subway rides, reflections after long flights, conversations that linger. I don’t paint or sculpt, but I see the world the way an artist does: noticing patterns, collecting moments, creating meaning. My canvas has taken many shapes through design, community gatherings, and quiet observations from everyday life.
This Substack is the next one: a space where I sketch ideas, stories, and lessons from what I do for a living, travel, and the in-between moments that make us pause. I’m bringing those threads together.
Here, you’ll find articles on leadership, higher education, well-being, and equity. You’ll also find more personal sketches of travel musings, cultural snapshots, memories, and questions that inspire me and keep me afloat. Some pieces will be long-form explorations, others will be quick notes. All of it will be written in the spirit of connection: between big systems and small human stories, between my journey and the collective.
I’ve started to think of this space as a kind of studio. A place to experiment, to reflect, and to share the art of making sense of the world.
Thank you for being here at the start. I hope you find something worth pausing for and maybe even something that sparks your own reflection.
Peace and Love~
